SHIPPRITT, Edmund – Of Swartz Creek, age 95, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his residence.
Private family service will be held at a later date.
Cremation has taken place.
Burial of cremains on Montrose Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or charity of one’s choice.
Edmund was born in Little Falls, Minnesota on November 24, 1917,
the son of Felix and Pauline (Ringwelski) Shippritt.
He was a veteran in the Army/Air Force, serving during World War II, approximately 3 ½ years; including 1 ½ years overseas, Corsica, Italy and Austria. He received an Honorable Discharge as a Staff Sergeant on December 27, 1945.
On May 3, 1947 he married Anna Ploucha and she preceded him in death in 2002.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Swartz Creek and K of C.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, swimming and reading.
Mr. Shippritt was employed by AC Spark Plug Division as a Tool Designer for 38 years.
Surviving are children, David (Christine) of Otisville,
Kathi of Swartz Creek,
Jean (Dennis) Benore of Grand Blanc and
Loren of Grand Blanc;
7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
