LATESKY, Jack – Of Flushing, age 87, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Peace Presbyterian Church, 1521 North Elms Road, Flint,
Reverend David A. Galbraith officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mr. Latesky will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
Jack was born in Flint, Michigan on August 28, 1927, the son of Alexander and Elizabeth (LaFrance) Latesky and was a resident of Flint most of his life.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He married Dorothy Fries on June 18, 1949.
Mr. Latesky was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder and Treasurer.
He was a member of VFW #3720, Swartz Creek.
Mr. Latesky retired from Buick Motor Division after 34 years of service.
Surviving are wife, Dorothy;
four children, Daniel (Angela),
Jean (Ron) Griffin,
Deborah (Jim) Tabaszewski and
Dennis (Betsy);
16 grandchildren;
16 great-grandchildren;
one great-great-granddaughter;
one brother, Robert (Cynthia);
one sister, Shirley Fries;
special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ray.
