O’BRIEN, Daniel Joseph Jr., - of Davison, age 90, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will be 11 AM – 8 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423 There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Thursday at church. On Wednesday, a service will be take place by the Ancient Order of Hibernians at 6:30 PM, and immediately following, a rosary will be prayed. Also on Wednesday, a Memorial Service will be held under the auspices of Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council #4090 and Fourth Degree Assembly #0523 of Davison at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice or to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Daniel was born in Flint, MI on July 8, 1928; son of the late Daniel & Lillian (Lawton) O’Brien. He married Dorothy Guidos and had 67 wonderful years together. Daniel was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Debbie (Gary) Gagne, Linda (Greg Payne) Galdieri, Michael (Mayme), Timothy (Lori), James (Maureen), Edwin (Lynne) & Scott (Dawn); 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Kummer, Dorothy West, & Margaret Couture; many more family members. He was preceded in death by brother, Edwin and sister, Lillian Stone.
