MORGAN, Irene Agnes - Age 91, of Flint, died Monday, June 4, 2018. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1PM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E. Bristol Road, Burton. Fr. Steven Anderson celebrant. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where a vigil service will be held at 7PM, and visitation at church Saturday from 12PM until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Salvation Army or Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Irene was born January 13, 1927 in Flint, the daughter of Joseph and Ann (Hauk) Miller. She was a 1945 graduate of Bendle High School and received her nursing degree from St. Mary's Nursing School in Detroit. She married Billy Warren Morgan July 2, 1949 and he preceded her in death December 18, 1989. She worked as an RN for St. Joseph Hospital and then for GM AC Spark Plug. Irene was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She also was a member of the CCW, ABWA, and American Association of Industrial Nurses. She enjoyed planning and attending her annual class reunions.
Surviving are: her children, Cynthia (Frank) Keil of Clarkston, Judi (Andy) Zirna of Sarasota, FL, Chris (Kathy) Morgan of Pinconning, Kathryn David of Raleigh, NC, Patt Chandler of Fenton, and Matthew (Tricia) Morgan of Grand Blanc; Bill (Susan) Ledbetter of Davison; 12 grandchildren, Michelle, Kori (Miro), Morgan, Abby (Ralph), Kelly (David), Zachary (Lynne), Marshall, Drake, Joseph, Kaiti, Dane, and Parker; 2 great grandchildren, Kyle and Amelia; sister-in-law, Carole Miller of Flint; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, James and William Morgan; brothers, Robert and Richard Miller. Tributes may be posted at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
