KOSBAR, Norma Jean – of Davison, age 83, passed away August 15, 2016 at Heartland Health Care Center – Briarwood Manor. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, August 19, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Monica Villarreal officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church, in Norma’s memory.
Norma was born in Flint, MI on January 6, 1933, daughter of the late Herman and Emily (Beyer) Kaiser. She was a proud 1951 graduate of Davison High School. Norma was co-owner of a fundraising company, Kosbar Enterprises, Inc. of Flint. She was a former Girl Scout leader. Norma was a member of Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church in Burton, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Norma and the church quilting club are responsible for making hundreds of quilts for the Red Cross. She also knitted hats for the neo-natal unit at Hurley Medical Center.
Norma is survived by her 3 children, Jeanine M. (James) Moakes of Caro, Brian E. (Marcia) Kosbar of Davison and Jill M. (Neal) Cobb of Ortonville; 7 grandchildren, Angela (Christian) Luter, Matthew Moakes, Clayton Dickinson, Samantha (Daniel) Command, Susan (Scott) Wagner, Hope Crenshaw and Stephanie (Joe) Barnhart; 6 great-grandchildren, Selah Wagner, Maddox Command, Colin and Sydney Crenshaw, Aedan and Joshua Barnhart; brother, Richard (Sandra) Kaiser; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kosbar and grandson, Jason Dickinson. Norma’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Heartland Hospice and Briarwood Manor for their loving and professional care. Special thanks to Pastor Sue Lidums for all her love and care.
