Rockwell (Bush) Maretta M. "Jo" of Lapeer age 83 passed away at her residence March 2, 2015. A memorial service will be held 1 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the New Dawn Chapel, 1569 S. Elba Rd., Lapeer, MI. Pastor Spencer Shelton officiating. Family will receive visitors from 12 noon until time of service Saturday. She was born April 21, 1931 in Paragould, AR the daughter of James Amos and Gretta Weaver. She worked at the GM Ternstedt Plant in Flint for 20 years. Maretta moved to Okeechobee, FL and lived there for 25 years, then moved back to Lapeer May of 2012. Maretta is survived by her daughters Sherry (John) Wills of Lapeer and Barbara Brown of San Antonio, TX; step-daughters Rosalind (Bill) Salbenblatt, Stephanie Munson, Teresa (Randy) Walling and Becky (Myron) Erexson; grandchildren Steven(Christina) Wills, Amy (Eric) Sutherby, John Tyler Brown Jr., Joshua James Brown; great grandsons Austyn, Jakob and Derek Sutherby, Tyler, Tanner and Ethan Wills, and Branden Huested; sister Betty Burroughs of Hesperia , CA; half sister Wilma Louise (Chuck) Haskins; half brother James T. (Karen) Weaver. Maretta was preceded in death by her first husband Jesse F. Bush and her late husband William H. Rockwell. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hometown Hospice (envelopes at visitation)1681 Woodbridge Park Ave. Lapeer, MI 48446 for their exceptional care and special thanks to Kim, Brandi, Tyler, Robin and Roxanne. |
