Barbara Ellen Stewart
Age 79 of Owosso passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held 1pm Monday July 15, 2019 at St. Paul Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 12noon until the time of service.
Barbara was born October 20, 1939 in Wilmington, the daughter of William and Barbara (Kelsey) Stewart.
She graduated from Kemper Hall High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Class of 1958, continued her education at Alma College where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in 1962 and then finished her education at Central Michigan University where she earned her Master's Degree in Education.
Barbara was a member of the ABWA, AAUW and was an active member at church.
Barbara worked for Owosso Public Schools for 37 years, Owosso High School as an English teacher and Owosso Middle School as a librarian.
Barbara is survived by her sisters Betsy (Don) Condor and Susan Hostetler; sister-in-law Beth Madison; nephew Max Condon; special K-9 companion Jeffrey and many other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; step-father Paul Madison; brother Dan Madison; brother-in-law Gary Hostetler; special friend Norm Gary and special K-9 companion Fred.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Shiawassee County Humane Society.
