O'Rourke, Mary Rose - Age 92, of Dallas, TX, was a life long Flint resident. Marian as she was known by many passed into the Lord's hands on September 20,2020 and will be joined forever with her beloved husband Jerome. Marian's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass 11AM on Saturday, September 26 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint. Father Thomas Firestone celebrant and Fr. Douglas Osborn co-celebrant. Visitation will be held 10AM until time of mass at the church. Burial to follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. She is survived by her children Nancy White (Gary) of Dallas, TX; Linda Staley (Raymond) of Alpena, MI; Kathleen O’Rourke (Jerry McGinness) of Yucca Valley, CA; and her son Daniel O’Rourke of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Marian loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse. She was a parishioner of St.John Vianney Church in Flint most of her life. Her faith kept her strong and comforted. As a volunteer she worked the “candy cart” at the Old St. Joseph now Genesys hospital and was a long time member of the Needle Work Guild. She enjoyed the game of bridge and played as often as possible. Marian requested, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. John Vianney Catholic School, address referenced above.
