YOTT, Betty J. – of Clio, age 84, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Funeral services will be held 2PM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Deacon Ray Ellingson officiating. Private burial will take place on Monday in Flushing Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11AM until time of service at 2PM. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Betty was born August 8, 1930 in Mt. Morris Township, Michigan to the late Joseph and Mary (Dubie) Besaw. She married Donald Yott on June 24, 1950. Betty was a member of Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, BINGO and trips with the Clio Senior Center. Betty also enjoyed bowling.
Surviving are: sons, Michael (Sandy) Yott of South Carolina and Randall (Mary Jo) Yott of Clio; daughter, Pamela (Jack) Smith of Indian River; 6 grandchildren, Matthew and Lisa Yott, Brandy (Tim) Jarvinen, Angie Yott, Brett John (Tera) Smith and Nicholas Joseph Smith; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leo (Annie) Besaw and Alfred (Diane) Besaw; sister in law, Linda Besaw. Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilfred, Lloyd, Don and Frank Besaw.
