Age 91 of Corunna passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Durand Senior Care.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, March 30th, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor George Zornow officiating. A luncheon will follow the service
Jack was born November 28, 1927 in St. Johns, the son of Glenn and Pearl (Steavens) Barnhart.
He graduated from St. Johns High School and attended Michigan State University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Jack was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He also was a member of the Amatuer Radio Clubs of Shiawassee and Genesee County, the A.R.R.L., the Society of Automotive Engineers, American Legion, V.F.W., and the American Red Cross. Jack loved photography and also enjoyed traveling.
He married Rita E. Hamilton in Montreal, Canada on September 24, 1955.
Jack retired from General Motors, AC Spark Plug after working there for 41 1/2 years.
Jack is survived by sons Sterling (Lori) Barnhart of Lennon and Lyle Barnhart of Davisburg; grandson Sean Barnhart and many other loving family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Rita and his parents.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army or the Red Cross.
