SCHLOSSER, Robert “Bob” Nicholas “Squirrel” – Of LeRoy, formerly of Flint, age 66, died Friday, February 3, 2017 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint. Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in St. Roberts Catholic Cemetery, Flushing, Michigan.
Visitation 11-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 6 and Tuesday, February 7 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Schlosser will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with medical expenses.
Robert was born in Petoskey, Michigan on January 11, 1951, the son of Henry and Vivian (Claspell) Schlosser.
On October 19, 1968 he married Ana Walter in Flint.
He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a Third Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Moose Lodge.
Mr. Schlosser retired from GM Chevrolet V-8.
Surviving are wife; Ana;
Children, Reverend Robert Schlosser, II of Flint,
Toni and Husband James Burghardt of China,
Corporal Travis Schlosser and Caroline Magness of Flint Township;
Grandchildren, Julian, Nick, Kendahl, Aimee and Khaleb;
Sisters, Martha Bruton of Flushing,
Dorothy Wolf of Flint,
Virginia and Husband Gary Terrill of LeRoy, Michigan;
Brother, Roger Schlosser of Flint;
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Vivian; brothers, Theodore, David and Raymond; sister, Reatha Brown.
