SALYER, Douglas - Of Columbiaville, MI, age 69, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral Service will be held 1pm Tuesday, July 23, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 1-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Douglas was born in Flint on September 30, 1943. He married Linda Cheney on July 6, 1963 and they were married for 50 years before she preceded him in death on July 6, 2013. Douglas retired from General Motors in 1998 after 36 years of service.
Surviving are children, Doug (Jennifer)Salyer, Marsha (Bob) Mabbitt and Nelson (Lorie) Salyer;
grandchildren, Chance, Camilla, Gunner and Summer Salyer, Samantha, Calee, Logan, Rylee, and Mason Mabbitt;
siblings, Betty Stull, James Salyer, Liz Conrad and Evelyn (Salyer);
brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry (Jean), Tom (Bonnie), Bill (Sena), Judy Harris, Sally (Ed) and Janice (Ted);
special aunt, Wanda;
many nieces and nephews.
Douglas was also preceded in death by his wife and sister, Connie
