HODGE, Monnie Ray - Of Grand Blanc, age 68, died Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
Visitation 12-8pm Thursday and 1pm Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Monnie was born in Flint, Michigan on August 26, 1955, the son of the late Bobby and Jean Hodge. On June 19, 1982, he married Susan Zehnder in Fenton, Michigan. Monnie worked for Domico Medical Supplier and its previous iterations in Fenton for 30 plus years. He was a devoted provider and a devoted father first. Monnie loved classic cars and cherished his 1978 Trans Am. He also loved going to Florida for the winters to spend time with his daughter, Lindsey.
Surviving are his wife and lifelong friend, Susan;
daughters, Lindsey, Whitney (David) Simonetti and Courtney Hodge;
grandchildren, Adrianna, Dominik, Cannon and Maliyah;
siblings, Kelly (Chris)Pray, Bobby Jr. (Colleen) Hodge;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Michael.
