RESEIGH, Betty J. - Of Flint Township, age 84, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, May 6, 2016 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 West Court Street, Flint,
Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to Court Street United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society or Crossover.
Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday and 10am-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Friday at church until the time of the service.
Betty was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 19, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Cavan. Betty married George Reseigh on March 14, 1953 in Highland Park, Michigan. She graduated from Highland Park High School. Betty was a very active member of Court Street United Methodist Church and a loving and loyal member The Trinity Circle. She enjoyed serving the community at Crossover. Betty loved bowling, crossword puzzles, pinochle and most important, being with her family. She was a valuable Receptionist for the late Dr. David Lirones.
Surviving are loving husband, George;
2 children, loving son and daughter, Douglas of Mt. Morris and his children, Jennifer and husband Nick Buchanan of Grand Blanc, Bradley Reseigh and Emily Crossnoe of Mt. Morris and Alan Reseigh. Barbara and husband Dennis Bennett of Swartz Creek and their son, Scott and wife Amanda Bennett of Charleston, Illinois;
Great-grandchildren, Travis, Tyler and Tanner Reseigh of Mt. Morris and Jaxson Bennett of Charleston, Illinois;
3 sisters, Ruth and husband Garfield Laity, Eleanor Dowswell and Patricia Carne;
Several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Alan Reseigh and in-laws, John and Florence Reseigh.
