Wenzlick, Vickie E. – of Montrose, age 75, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Lavigne Hospice House in Burton. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Friday, October 11, 2024, at Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church - 11356 Seymour Rd, in Montrose. Pastor Noah Bruckschen to officiate. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 1PM until 8PM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church.
Vickie was born on January 10, 1949, in Owosso, MI, lived a vibrant life filled with love and faith. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1967 and dedicated over 30 years of service at AT&T as a phone operator. A woman of strong faith, Vickie found solace in attending Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church, where she nurtured her spiritual beliefs. Her vibrant personality shone through in her love for puzzles, games of shuffle boards, and above all, her cherished cats. Vickie's energy and zest for life were truly infectious, leaving a lasting impact on those she met. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, Vickie's love knew no bounds, bringing comfort and joy to her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her spunky nature and the joy she brought to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Surviving are: Grandson, Noah Shinabarger; Brother, Larry Parks; Sister, Lynn (Scott) VanWagner; Aunt Karen Holmes who was more of a sister; Nieces and nephews: Angie (Matt) Jones, Rana Diem, Wayne (Chris) Parks, and Leah Parks. Her best friend Darlene Hescott and all of the Tiki Girls. She is preceded in death by her sons: Phillip Shinabarger, and Tony Shinabarger; Husband, Fred Wenzlick; Great nephew, Justin Smith.
