HRESKO, Rita - Of Linden, age 90, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at The Oaks at Woodfield.
Funeral Liturgy will be held 11am Thursday, December 22, 2016 at All Saints Catholic Church, 4063 West Pierson Road, Flint, 48504,
Father Roy Horning celebrating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 3-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Rita will be at the church from 10am Thursday until the time of the Funeral Liturgy.
Rita was born in Flint on July 24, 1926, the daughter of the late George and Stella Kolton and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. On October 23, 1946, she married Emery “Jim” Hresko at All Saints Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on September 4, 2012. Rita was a member of the Elk Rapids Garden Club, Sacred Heart Church in Elk Rapids and St. Joseph Church in Gaines. Her father was founding member of Dom Polski.
Surviving are children, Carol (Mac) Conover, Paul (Patti) and Jamie (Kathy);
daughter-in-law, Tammy Veatch;
13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren;
and sisters, Imelda Kolton and Alberta Gebhardt.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark and sister Bonnie Hintz.
