Norma “Jean” (Markee) Key, age 83, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016. She was born on June 1, 1932 in Flint, MI to parents Alvy and Louise (Gabriel) Markee. Jean graduated from Bendle High School in 1950. She worked at AC Spark Plug for over 30 years and retired in 1981. Jean taught classes at Jean’s Ceramics. Jean is survived by her children: Jeanette (Tom) Bateman, Gary Key, Laura (Randy) St Marie; daughter in law, Joy Key; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Jim (Delores) Markee, Don (Alice) Markee, Dave (Sue) Markee, Judy (Ken) Tippett; sister-in-law, Nova Valenti; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Noel “Bud” Key; son, Dennis Mark Key; sister, Wannie Gary; daughter-in-law, Jackie Key; brothers-in-law: Amos Gary, Fred Jones, Don Valenti. The family would like to give a special thanks to Lauri, RN and Alex, CNA with Reverence Home Health and Hospice for their compassion and continuous care. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Monday, March 7, 2016 at South Flint Church of the Nazarene (4075 E. Atherton Rd., Burton). Pastor Bob Cattane officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Hill Funeral Home (11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc), and at the church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Reverence Home Health and Hospice in Norma Jean’s name. |
