FLOYD, Carolyn (Chris) – Loving wife of 51 plus years, mother, grandmother and friend, of Grand Blanc, age 70, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 after seven years of chronic pain at her residence.
Graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2015 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan, Loren Burt officiating.
Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Carolyn was born in Hamlet, NC on April 20, 1945, daughter of John Mark and Mary Emma (Jones) Powell and was a resident of East Rockingham, NC, Van Nuys, CA, Davison, MI and Grand Blanc, MI.
On October 11, 1963 she married Harold Edward Floyd in Santa Barbara, CA.
She was a member of Davison VFW.
Carolyn was a special lady, who loved everyone to a fault, family, friends, elderly, children and animals.
Surviving are husband, Harold Floyd;
daughter, Angela Floyd-Callihan;
son-in-law, Frederick Callihan;
son, Ed Floyd;
daughter-in-law, Joni Floyd;
daughter, Alisha Floyd-Baur;
grandchildren, Tiffani, Kristi, Rick, Kati, Tyler, Alex, Caylin and Tory;
great-grandchildren, Kali, Carter, Caleb, Kayden, Tyty, Garret and Kamren;
brothers, Larry “Peanut” and Bobby.
She was preceded in death by brother, Gerald (Bud) Powell; son-in-law, Randy Baur, both in their final resting place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
