ELDRED, Luella E. – of Montrose, age 87, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Private burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12PM until 8PM and Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Luella was born December 16, 1929 to the late David and Eva (Shariff) Cole, and raised by her grandparents. She married Bobbie W. Eldred on October 9, 1948 in Owosso. He preceded her in death June 6, 2009. Luella enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband. Above all, Luella loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Daughters: Kathryn (William) Herman of Montrose, Judy (Steve) Hanel of Afton, and Donna Locascio of Montrose; 7 grandchildren: Brett, Jeffery (Stephanie), Joshua (Mandy), Brian (Danielle) Joseph (Jennifer), Jennifer (Tommy), and Becky (Jeff); 16 great grandchildren; Nephew, Earl Walker; Special Neighbors, Bob (Debbie) Cartier. Luella was also preceded in death by her son, Don Eldred, Brother, Orville Cole, and many other siblings and adopted siblings.
