Age 86 of New Lothrop, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church of Maple Grove with Father John Cotter officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel Thursday, March 9 from 2 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and a K of C Rosary following.

Jean was born on Nov. 22, 1930 to Lawrence and Dorothy (Walworth) McKone in New Lothrop. She graduated from New Lothrop High School in 1948. She married Peter D. Krupp on June 10, 1950 at St. Michael's; they celebrated 66 years of marriage in June.

Jean was a lifelong homemaker who also worked as a teller at Citizens Bank for many years. During her life, she enjoyed baking, sewing and going to the casino with her girlfriends. She also loved spending time at the family cottage on Sand Lake. Above all, Jean loved being with and caring for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her husband, Peter; her daughters, Yvonne Vrable, Debbie (Rick) Riess, Shelley Wyant (Rich Swenson) and Denise (Clark) Bentley; her 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Lyle and Herbert McKone.

She is predeceased by her son, Gerald Peter Krupp; her son-in-law, Carl Vrable; her sister, Marcilene Raleigh; and her parents.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Twin Township Ambulance and St. Michael's Catholic Church of Maple Grove.
