SARTOR, Jay W. - of Clio, age 80, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Cremation to follow. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 12-8PM and Saturday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society. Jay was born November 18, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Russell and Dorothy (Turnbull) Sartor. He graduated from Northern High School. Jay married Ann Panneck November 30, 1963 in St. Michaels Church – Flint. Mr. Sartor is a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Jay was formerly employed at Fisher Body and later retired from Chevrolet Motor Division in 1992 with over 30 years seniority. He was a member of the UAW Local #659 and a life member of the Masonic Temple of Flint. Jay enjoyed golfing, watching sports and was an avid U of M fan. He enjoyed staying up to date with current events and spending his winters with Ann in Yuma, Arizona. Surviving are: Wife, Ann Sartor of Clio; Daughter, Sherry Ross of Flushing; Son, Douglas Sartor (Fiancée Trish Brown) of Davison; 4 grandchildren: Scott Congdon (Fiancée Angie Worden), Cameron Congdon, Riley Ross and Nicole Brown; Brother, Tom (Jeanne) Sartor; Sister, Nancy Hoydic; Sister in law, Irene (Clarence) Decker; Several nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
