STRZYNSKI, Dorothy A. – of Flint, age 91, went home to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family on November 1, 2013. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 PM Monday, November 4, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. George Puthenpeedika celebrant. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Monday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Dorothy was born in Gaylord, MI on January 23, 1922, daughter of the late Roman and Lottie (Mankowski) Borowiak. She married Joseph J. Strzynski on February 7, 1942 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1981. Dorothy was a lifelong founding member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother loved by all.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Jerry) King, Peggy Strzynski, Kim (Terry) Edwards and Catherine (Robert) Stacey; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and five sisters. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph J. Strzynski, Jr.
