Guilfoyle, Frank Thomas, III of Flushing, age 72, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at his home. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Paul Schwermer will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral Mass. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass Saturday, at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Education Fund or Powers Catholic High School.
Frank was born in Winchester, MA on October 20, 1941, the son of Frank Thomas, II and Dorothy (Eckhardt) Guilfoyle. He married Patricia Roddy on June 26, 1965 in Medford, MA. Frank worked for General Motors for 38 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Buick Club of America and the Model Railroaders Association. Frank enjoyed parades and his two classic convertibles, which he often entered in various parades. He was a man of routine and was a wonderful and caring provider for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pat; children, Sandra (Pam Denzer) Guilfoyle of Waldo, Ohio, Lisa (Steve) Luczak of Grand Rapids, Frank (Trista) Guilfoyle, IV of Simsbury CT; grandchildren, Nicholas, Lindsey, Tommy, Ryan; sisters, Judy Beatrice, Dorothy (Jerry) Bolton, all of Medford, MA, Jody Guilfoyle (Hank) of Rockwall, TX; many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diane Guilfoyle.
