HOWARD, Martha L. – Of Flint, age 75, died Monday, December 22, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her children and grandson.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Brad Richardson officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mom was born on November 9, 1939 to Andy and Anzie (Slone) Hale. She grew up in Porter, Kentucky with her three sisters and three brothers.
Mom and Dad (T.J.) were married July 10, 1956 and enjoyed over 49 years together until dad died October 28, 2005.
Mom loved spending time with her family, working in her yard and spending time at Hubbard Lake; riding around the lake on the pontoon boat, watching her children and grandson having fun or just sitting around the campfire.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth of Chapel Hill, TN and
Brian of Perry, MI;
daughter, Patricia of Flint;
grandson, Christopher of Spring Hill, TN;
also one brother, Glen (Opal) Hale of St. Helen, MI.
Mom was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar and Marcus; three sisters, Erma, Mary Sue and Willodene.
Mom was an amazing woman and mother, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
