DUNN, Bobbie C. (Yarbrough) – of Otisville, MI, age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Jerome Taylor officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Eastgate Baptist Church, in Bobbie’s name.
Bobbie was born in Noxapater, Mississippi on September 28, 1936, daughter of the late Hilda (Sanders) Yarbrough and Cecil Yarbrough. On May 31, 1955, she married the love of her life, Bobby “Bob” Jack Dunn in Mobile, Alabama and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2020. Bobbie was a beautiful light in this world, always cheerful and positive, and complimentary to others. She loved to love people and she did it well. Bob and Bobbie made friends wherever they went and Bobbie let everyone know they were special and important to her. She did this in her sweet southern accent that she never lost even after living in Michigan for over 68 years. Bobbie was the oldest of nine children and her siblings lovingly referred to her as the “Wagon Master”, as she always took the reins in planning family gatherings. Bobbie was a Christian and a faithful servant of Eastgate Baptist Church for over 60 years. Bobbie loved her flowers, working in them daily and sharing them with everyone. She was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. Most of all Bobbie loved her family. She was a wonderful and loving mother and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her family and special Thursdays spent with her son, Rocky. “Gummy” spent countless hours visiting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going to their activities, birthdays, playing and cuddling with each and every one of them. They were her precious little children and they were so blessed to have her in their lives. We will miss her everyday.
Bobbie is survived by her 2 children, Robin (Lee) LaVictoire and Rocky (Karen) Dunn; 4 grandchildren, Margie (Brad) LaFerney, William (Nancy) Gillette, Ashlee (Jeremy) Judd and Todd (Kayle) LaVictoire; 7 great-grandchildren, Dylan Everette, Tomasina Judd, Dawson Judd, Josephine Judd, Chloe LaVictoire, Brooks LaVictoire and Weston LaVictoire; 6 siblings, Lafayette Yarbrough, Wayne (Carol) Yarbrough, Marzine (Louise) Yarbrough, LaVada (Chuck) Kehnast, Kirby (Darlene) Yarbrough and Larry (Debbie) Yarbrough; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilda Yarbrough and Cecil Yarbrough; husband, Bobby “Bob” Jack Dunn; great-granddaughter, Baby Emory LaVictoire; sister, Wilma Jean Yarbrough; brother, Jerry Yarbrough and sister-in-law, LaVada Yarbrough.
