Phyllis J. Bose, age 88, of Higgins Lake, formerly of Mt. Morris, died March 4, 2013. Visitation will be 2-4 and 5-7 PM Thursday at Walsh Funeral Home in Roscommon. Visitation on Friday will be at St. Hubert Catholic Church at Higgins Lake beginning at 10 AM with a funeral Mass at 11 AM officiated by Fr. Bernard Tyler. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery also at Higgins Lake.

Phyllis was born January 9, 1925 in Flint, the daughter of Herman J. and Mabel M. (Long) Bachman. She graduated from Beecher High School in 1942 and married Joseph Bose in 1995. She owned and operated Peter Pan Children's Shop in Flint and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church while living in Mt. Morris. She moved to Higgins Lake where she owned and operated another store, Male Box, in Roscommon and was a member of St. Hubert Catholic Church. Her husband of 51 years, Joseph, preceded her in death in 1995. She married Jack Fox in 1997 and he preceded her in death in 2004. Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Patsy Jason, Joyce Sedge and Herman Bachman

She is survived by two children, Linda (Bobby J.) Reed of Mt. Morris and Joe (Maria) Bose of Kalkaska; four grandchildren, Kristie Impola of Flint, Jeff Weiss of Mt. Morris, Joe Bose of Elmira and Sarah Bose of Holland; three great-grandchildren, Juliana Weiss of Lansing, Sydnie and Milo Impola of Flint, and a brother-in-law, Harry Sedge of Shelbyville, Tennessee.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Hubert Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Michigan, 220 W. Garfield Ave., Charlevoix, MI 49720.
