GOODWIN, Theodore Alfred "Ted" - Age 86, of Perry formerly of Newberry and Linden, died Friday, August 2, 2019. Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Pastor Dawn Russell officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Ted was born July 18, 1933 in Gladwin the son of Theodore Jess and Mildred Mae (Rupert) Goodwin. He married Nancy Judy Cadwell October 11, 1986 and she preceded him in death April 25, 2018. He was a carpenter and owned and operated Goodwin Wood Products in Argentine. He also was the Honorary Constable for Argentine Township and ran the base station for the Argentine Township Police Department.
Surviving are; 6 daughters, Mirita Chipman, Tonya (Kevin) Barker, Cindy (Brian) Dickerson, Christina (David) Zacker, Aubern Goodwin, and Manton Goodwin; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; sister, Mary Thrasher; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins
He was also preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons; brother, Arthur Goodwin; and sisters, Leona McLenna and Joyce Nelson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneral homes.com. |
