McNEW, James Harold- Age 90, of Flint, died Wednesday September 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held 12:30PM Saturday September 29, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Our temporary location, at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek (Mundy Township). Pastor Walter Rose officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday and again at 11AM Saturday until time of service at Hill Creek Church. James enjoyed hunting walleye fishing and was a avid Detroit Tigers and NASCAR fan. Surviving are: daughters, Patricia "Pam" Newman of AR, Sandra "Sandy" Egan of Flint, Roberta "BO" (Gary) Cowden of Clio, Linda "Lucy" (Danny) Haney of SC, Jamie (Bobby) Jones of Fenwick, MI, Lisa McNew of Tallahassee FL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great greatgrandchildren. James was also survived by his sisters, Earple Thompson of MO, Marvell Swift of GA, Faye Adams of Flint; brother Willie McNew of CA and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by sons James Michael and Orville Lynn McNew; grandson Orville Lynn "Little Lynn" McNew and brother William McNew. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
