LaBELLE, Steven R. – Of Davison, age 50, died Friday, January 6, 2012 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, Father Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will take place following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. LaBelle will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the Mass. Steven was born in Fort Worth, Texas on January 11, 1961, the son of Ernest and Mary (Cordaway) LaBelle. On October 20, 1990 he married Monica McGowan at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison. Mr. LaBelle was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Burton Eagles. He was very active with various MMWA Clubs and high school wrestling. He coached youth football at various schools. He was a two time Golden Gloves Champ. Surviving are wife, Monica; six children, Steven (Sheena) LaBelle, Kenneth (Karissa) LaBelle, Keristen (Don) Rowley, Zachary LaBelle, Jarrad LaBelle and Chelsea LaBelle; six grandchildren and three on the way, Camdyn, Bryse, Dylon, Tysyn, Kensley and Khloe; parents, Ernest and Mary LaBelle; brother, John and wife Judy LaBelle and sister, Sherri LaBelle. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bill LaBelle and Richie LaBelle; nephew, Gregory LaBelle. Your condolences may be shared with the family at www.swartzfuneralhomeinc.com.
