KLEINOW, John H. – of Burton, MI, age 82, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Cremation has taken place. A Private Service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in John’s memory.
John was born in Washington Township, MI on August 10, 1935, son of the late Clarence and Helen (Mohr) Kleinow. He married Sandra Noyce on July 2, 1960. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1953-1966. John retired from General Motors in 2003 after 50 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. John was loved by all who knew him and he will be deeply missed.
John is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; 5 children, John Kleinow, Gregory Kleinow, Susan (Nicholas) Howdyshell, Brian (Renee) Kleinow and Melissa (Brian) Leach; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Norma Winters and Carol Poisson; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by 4 grandchildren and brother, James Kleinow.
