Lillian "Pug" Hoisington, age 91, of Bancroft, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, peacefully at her home.
Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2024, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Durand. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Lillian was born December 28, 1932, in Ashley, Michigan, the daughter of John and Maybelle (Rhynard) Fisher. She graduated from Ashley High School. She married Gerald (Jerry) Hoisington in Owosso, Michigan on April 30, 1955.
Lillian worked as a bus driver for Durand Schools. She was active in the community volunteering with 4H, The Grange, Girl Scouts, and Band Booster. She enjoyed jamborees, quilting, gardening, and traveling.
Lillian is survived by her two sisters; Helen (Cecil) Bowers and Linda Comis; her 5 children: Jan (Terri) Hoisington, Marlin (Ginger) Hoisington, Elaine Dungerow, Fay (David) Downer, Alyne (Scott) Rubelman, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, son-in-law, parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
