Age 86 of Flushing passed away August 8, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.
A Memorial Service will be held 1pm Saturday August 11, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Home New Lothrop Chapel with Pastor Paul Bradshaw officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12noon until the time of service.
Donna was born December 10, 1931 in Benton Harbor; the daughter of Ray and Clara (Heaton) Miller.
She graduated from Benton Harbor High School; Class of 1948. Donna was a member of Central Church of Nazarene in Flint.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles and quilting. Donna volunteered at Applewood Manor, Back to the Bricks and at the church. She also taught Sunday School and enjoyed her gift of hospitality and helping others.
Donna married Herbert E. Miller on June 10, 1952 in Benton Harbor; he predeceased her on September 30, 1980.
She spent her days as an operator for Michigan Bell and as a waitress for Flushing Valley Country Club.
Donna is survived by her children Susan (Phillip) Kintz, Catherine (Steven) Gilson, Steven (Angie) Miller and Nancy C. Miller-Barber; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister Phyllis Roberts; sister-in-law Bess Miller; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband Herbert; grandson Mark Gilson; brothers Marion Ray Miller and Stanley Miller; sisters Ruby Secrest, Dorothy Maynard, Nina Cudmore, Rose Mary Mensinger, Beverly Zache and Joyce Seelinger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
