HARRIS, LARRY – Of age 81, died Friday, June 28, 2024 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, with Pastor Bruce Badder officiating.
Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Larry was born in Aurora, Missouri on September 15, 1942, the son of the late Earl and Josephine (French) Harris.
On January 7, 1961 he married JoAnn Liddle and they celebrated 62 years of marriage.
In Larry’s younger years he enjoyed playing racketball, hockey and softball. More recently, he enjoyed Legos, golfing and watching movies. He had a great sense of humor with a witty & sarcastic disposition.
Larry retired from GM as an Industrial Engineer.
Larry was a devoted family man, who was hard working, supportive, and put his family before himself.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Terresa (Richard) DerMiner and Tracy Utley;
He was proud of all his grandchildren, Dr. Megan Jones, Zachary Utley and Maddie Utley;
countless nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn, on February 25, 2023.
