KOVALCIK, Raymond David – of Vassar, MI, age 84, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Cremation has taken place. A Private Memorial Service will be held. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, in Raymond’s memory.
Raymond was born in Flint, MI on June 16, 1936, son of the late Frank and Mary (Berezne) Kovalcik. He married Ramona Richardson on January 19, 1957. Raymond retired from General Motors Buick in 1992 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, gardening and fast cars.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Ramona Kovalcik; 5 children, Torrey (Tom) Whiting, Steve (Debbie) Kovalcik, Mona (Hank) Lataille, Mike Kovalcik and Mark (Robyn) Kovalcik; 13 grandchildren, Tommy (Lori) Whiting, Talia (Ryan) Brown, Kiel Kovalcik, Aaron (Courtney) Maddock, Melissa (Chris) Lotterhos, Ray (Brandy) Lataille, Andrea (Sean) Lataille, Jenna (Jordan) Hawkins, Casey (Jennifer) Kovalcik, Michael (Nicole) Kovalcik, Anthony Walker, Hunter Kovalcik and Jackson Kovalcik; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marianne Macor; many special cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Kovalcik; sister, Margaret Dumler; 5 brothers, Ed Kovalcik, John Kovalcik, Fritz Kovalcik, Tom Kovalcik and Jim Kovalcik.
