HAGGARD, Barbara – of Flint, age 81, passed away June 11, 2016 at Nathan’s Place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6336 Roberta St., Burton; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel, 2:30 PM Wednesday. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Barbara was born in Flint, MI on February 23, 1935, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kaza) Roda. She graduated from Sacred Heart in 1953. Barbara married Dalton “Bob” Haggard, Jr. on November 4, 1967 at Sacred Heart Church and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2014. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament, the Ladies Altar Society, the Flint Croatian Slovene Home, SNPJ Lodge # 459 and PLAV Post #8 Ladies Auxiliary. Barbara enjoyed cooking, the Detroit Tigers, bingo and going to the casino.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Brenda and husband Anthony Stimac; son, Brian Haggard and wife Shelly Hoffman; two step granddaughters, Marquita and Tori Stimac; one step great grandson, Landon Frank; sister, Shirley Seidel; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2014; daughter Bethany in 1995 and infant son Robert in 1968.
