PICKLER, Billie Irene - Of Durand, age 83, died Friday, February 23, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Chaplain Goodie L. Cox officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
Visitation 2-4pm and 5-8pm Monday and 12 Noon Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Billie was born in Flint on July 22, 1934, the daughter of Walter and Hilda Booth, and was a resident of Burton until 1977 when she moved to Swartz Creek. She married Melvin Picker on May 11, 1957 in Burton and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2002. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Mrs. Pickler was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone Company for 30 years, retiring in 1988.
Surviving are 3 sons, Michael (Angie) of Lake City,
Morris (Yvette) of Corunna,
Matthew (Theresa) of Durand;
grandchildren, Shelby, Lena Sue, Matthew S., Kyle, Troy, Joshua and Zachary;
great-grandchildren, Chloe and Brayden.
sister, Shirley (Dale) Wells of Grand Blanc
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, parents, cousins, Cliff (Margaret)Booth and Pat Green.
