BABCOCK, Denise A. – of Burton, age 54, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. Per Denise’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Mickey Sparks officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until the time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Denise was born in Flint, MI on December 22, 1959, daughter of the late Leon and Anne (Kummer) Melanson. Denise especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking them to the boat show. She also had a passion for animals, especially her dog, Layla.
Denise is survived by her longtime boyfriend, Kevin Thibeault; daughter, Brandy (fiancé Jason Wolfe) Babcock; son, Steven (Jenniffer) Babcock; four grandchildren, Aubree, Hunter, Kaylee and Preston; two sisters, Dawn Melanson and Debra Melanson; one brother, David Melanson; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by daughter, Trisha Babcock.
