DVORSKY, Mari Joanne (Roe). - of Chesaning, age 71, caring, giving, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 with family by her side at Maple Woods Manor of Clio. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church - 6205 Birch Run Rd., in Birch Run. Pastor Fred Smith officiating. Private burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Friday from 1PM until 8PM and at the church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Mari was born September 18, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to the late James and Rose (Holicki) Monroe. She met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Steve Roe and they were married December 24, 1963. Sadly, Steve unexpectedly preceded Mari in death June of 1996. The Lord blessed Mari again to be married to the very loving and caring, Joseph Dvorsky April 22, 2006. Mari worked at Duro-Last Roofing, Frankenmuth Bank & Trust, and Bronner’s of Frankenmuth. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with her grandbabies. A true servant of the Lord, Mari had been a member of Bible Baptist Church of Birch Run for over 29 years.
Left to cherish her memory are: Husband, Joseph Dvorsky; Sons: Steven (Carrie) Roe, Brian Roe, and Jamie (Jenni) Roe; Grandson, Easton Roe; Sisters: Vickie (Bill) Lloyd and Marlene (Ken) Reinig;Very special aunt, Kay Holicki; Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Mari was also welcomed home to heaven by her brother, James Monroe; Sister, Sharon Wilson; and the pride and joy of her life, grandbaby Jordan Lee Roe. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Maple Woods Manor staff for all their love, care and compassion for not only Mari, but the entire family.
