KLEMKOW, Kenneth Earl “Ken” - Of Flint, age 83, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at his daughter’s residence with his children by his side.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Private burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw.
Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Flint.
Visitation 11am-3pm and 4-8pm Thursday and 10am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ken was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 27, 1935, the son of Earl and Sabra Klemkow. He married Norma Barnum in 1961. They were married 37 wonderful years before her passing on November 15, 1998. Ken served in the United States Army then returned home and was hired in at AC Spark Plug GM. He retired after 39.5 years of service. He loved to ride his bike for miles with his dear friend, Bob Simms. Ken enjoyed working in his tomato garden, traveling to Florida with his wife, traveling North to his trailer in Harrison, Michigan and attending car shows. Ken had a gift of talking to all who knew him. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are children, Cheryl (Stephen) Ranger, David (Amy) Klemkow, and Creg Klemkow;
And many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Klemkow.
