BECK, Katherine “Katie” – of Midland, age 97, passed away December 25, 2018 at Brittany Manor – Midland. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, December 31, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-7 PM Sunday and 10 AM until time of service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 16 Lapeer.
Katie was born in Greeley, Colorado on November 2, 1921, daughter of the late Carl and Maria (Schmidt) Lehr. She married John Ralph Beck on November 22, 1941 and he preceded her in death in April of 1997. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary. Katie loved to bake and she was especially known for her pies. She worked at AC Spark Plug and the Flint Journal.
Katie is survived by her children, Diane Kay Hebert and Robert John (Marsha) Beck; grandchildren, Monique Renee (Steven) Smith and Jonathan Marc (Kristyne) Hebert; great-grandchildren, Jessica Waite, Caleb Smith, Cameron Smith, Connor Hebert and Ashton Hebert. She was preceded in death by her newborn daughter, Nancy Beck.
