FRENCH, Larry A. – of Clio, age 79, died Friday, July 1, 2016 at Regency of Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Paul St. Louis, Minister, officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Thursday from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Larry was born October 19, 1936 in Clio to the late Clifford and Bernice (Richardson) French. He was a lifelong resident of Clio. Mr. French retired from Chevrolet Mfg. with 35 years seniority. He was a member of the Pine Run Church of Christ where he served as Elder, and the UAW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, sports and was a Lions and Tigers fan. He enjoyed his grandchildren the most.
Surviving are: Daughters: Linda Froats of Grand Blanc, Laurie (Larry) Simms of Ortonville; Grandchildren: Eric (Jessica) Froats, Ryan Froats, Paige Simms and Jax Simms; Great Granddaughter, Makenzie; Sister, Joan Roberts of Farwell; many nieces and nephews.
