REED, Richard James - Of Sebring, Florida, age 83, died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, Florida.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, Florida.
Richard was born in Flint on August 20, 1935, and was a resident of Flint and Davison most of his life, retiring to Sebring, Florida. He married Betty Clarke on July 31, 1965 in Flint. He was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was a lifetime member of Good Sam's Camping Club, a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sebring, Florida and a retired member of Teamsters Local 332. Mr. Reed was employed by National Transit, as a freight handler and driver, for 27 years, retiring in 1978.
Surviving are sister, Joan of Flint;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty in June 2013, sister Yvonne Sova, brother-in-law Don Fox and his parents.
