VAN CURA, Joseph Harold – of Columbiaville, MI, age 80, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, October 7, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Robert D. Taylor officiating. Private interment will be on a later date. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-8 PM Sunday, October 6, 2019 and 10-11 AM Monday, October 7, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home.
Joseph was born in Davison Township, MI on September 14, 1939, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Velat) Van Cura. He was raised on a farm in Davison, MI and was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1957. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Joseph was employed with the Burroughs Corporation for 31 years. He then worked as a realtor. Joseph loved nature and tending to his property.
Joseph is survived by 3 sons, Tim (Robin) Van Cura, Mark (Ann) Van Cura and Dan (Karen) Van Cura; 5 grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Hancock, Corey (Kelsi) Van Cura, Abbey Van Cura, Nicole Van Cura and Noah Van Cura; 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia Hancock, Lyla Hancock and Marshall Van Cura; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen Van Cura.
