RITA KAY HERRINGTON, age 65 of Otisville, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at U of M Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 4PM on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will be receiving visitors from 1PM until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Rita was born on October 19, 1948 to Lester and Floy Keller. She graduated from LakeVille High School in 1967, where she was very active in sports. She was a bus driver for the GISD. Rita enjoyed knitting, woodworking, gardening, and doing puzzles. She also loved taking care of her horses. Surviving is her husband, Don Herrington, Jr.; children: Ronnie (Heather) Buff, Jenny (Dennis) Berryman, and Mark Herrington; grandchildren: Seth, Aidan, Austin, Nik, Natalie, Rebecca, Lydia, and Benjamin; brothers and sisters: Russell, Mike, Luanne, and Alan; “cuzin,” Carolyn Shannon and family; and dear friends: Charles and Betty Lewis, Barb Proffer, and Cathy Fruhner. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nora. |
