GRAY, Richard Elmer – of Flint, MI, age 85, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Friday, July 10, 2020 at Living Promise Fellowship, 7457 Elms Rd., Flushing, MI 48433; Rev. Jack French officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Living Promise Fellowship in Flushing, MI, in Richard’s memory.
Richard was born in Flint, MI on February 19, 1935, son of the late Elmer Elsworth and Virginia Bell (Jansen) Gray. He married Jeanette Irene French on June 17, 1954. Richard retired from General Motors Buick in 1986 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed helping others, spending time with his family and spending time with his dog, Bachie.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Jeanette Gray; 2 children, Richard Elmer (Pam) Gray, Jr. and Elissa (Lonnie) Copeland; 5 grandchildren, Scott (Jen) Gray, Chelsea (Robby) Underhill, Sheena Ealy, Victoria (Steven) Rose and Luke Whisnant; 5 great-grandchildren, Sara Gray, Isaac Gray, Pearla Mae Underhill, Beau Underhill and Atticus Rose. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Thomas (Juanita) Gray; many cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Virginia Gray; daughter, Deborah Irene Gray and son, Michael Leon Gray.
