HOWARD, Billy W. - of Flint, age 93, died Friday, July 7, 2017 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Elder Cindy Dewar officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park with full Military Honors under the direction of the Clio Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post #1452 and American Legion Post #158. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1PM until 8PM and Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Billy was born August 5, 1923 in Senath, Missouri to the late Mathey and Clara (Rowland) Howard. He married Faye Berkompas on July 5, 1946 in Arkansas. She preceded him in death November 12, 1999. Mr. Howard is a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and was stationed in the South Pacific. Billy retired from Buick in 1974 after 36 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local # 599. He was also a member of the Coachman Car Club. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards.
Surviving are: Daughters: Shawayne (Fred) Wright, Randy (Charley) McKinney, and Sandy Quintanilla; Son, Robbie Cain; Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Billy was also preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Harbaugh; Grandson, Troy Wright; 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
