BOYD, Dorothy L.-- Age 88 of Swartz Creek went to be with her Lord July 31, 2017. Funeral Services will be 12PM Monday August 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2PM to 6PM Sunday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the building fund of First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek.
Dorothy was born March 9,1929 in Beech Grove, Arkansas the daughter of Trulie and Enid (Williams) Cole. She married Bobby Boyd in Paragould, Arkansas on October 25,1947. Dorothy was a homemaker who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very active member of The First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek. Dorothy loved serving God. She loved traveling and reminiscing with old photos.
She is survived by her husband; Bobby Boyd; children, Cindy Boyd, and Kevin (Judy) Boyd; grandchildren, Chad Rider, and Courtney (Wesley) Christman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Randy; brother, Osmer Cole.
