JONES, Charles Paul - Age 88, of Fenton, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial will be held 12:30 PM Monday, February 18 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM and Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service. There will be a V.F.W. memorial service 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Mr. Jones was born June 16, 1924 in Tuckerman, AR, the son of Lindsey and Molly (Haskett) Jones. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He married Lois Hungerford January 30, 1984 in Fenton. Mr. Jones retired in 1984 from GM Chevrolet V-8 Motor Plant after 30 years of service. He had resided in Fenton since 1984 coming from Burton. He was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church, Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243, Fenton Masonic Lodge #109 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite, and the Shriners. Surviving are: wife, Lois; 4 children, Brenda and husband Dan Webster of Jackson, Charles and wife Cathy Jones of Yelm, WA, Shirley Sauve of Grand Blanc, and Rebecca Fern of Grand Blanc; 6 grandchildren, Erika Sessink of Adrian, Stephanie and husband Tim Johnston of Linden, Christi Forstner of Grand Blanc, Jason and wife Lisa Jones of Lansing, Andrea and husband Frank Gerzetich of Grand Blanc, and Brandon and wife Michelle Murray of Ortonville; 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Melba Jones; son-in-law, Greg Sauve; 2 grandchildren, Shannon Willbanks and Jeremy Sauve; 3 sisters, Wanda Ferris, Fonda Kent, and Sue Jones.
