SCHOEPPACH, Marjorie I. – of Clio, age 100, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1PM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Bethany United Methodist Church. 353 E. Vienna St., in Clio. Rev. Cathi Huvaere and Rev. Roger Gedcke officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Friday from 1PM until 8PM and at the church on Saturday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church.

Marjorie was born July 16, 1918 in Montrose, Michigan to the late Almon and Edith (MacGillivary) Hewitt. She graduated from Clio High School on June 13, 1935. Marjorie married Orval H. Schoeppach, a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, on June 9, 1945 in Wesley United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death August 9, 1996. She was the manager for the Clio Dime Store for many years. Marjorie was a very involved member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she was passionate about teaching Sunday School. She and husband, Orval enjoyed volunteering at the Goodwill Bookstore. Marjorie enjoyed playing cards, baking, and attending church. Above all, Marjorie loved spending time with her family, and friends. She was affectionately known as “Tiny” by her loved ones.

Surviving are: Many loving nieces, and nephews; Other loving family members and dear friends. Marjorie was also preceded in death by her 4 brothers: Russell Hewitt, Ralph Hewitt, Gordon Hewitt, and Donald Hewitt; 3 sisters: Thelma Williams, Edna Gasche, and Luella “Sweetie” Allen.
