THOMPSON, Joyce Elaine - Of Flint, age 80, died Saturday, March 2, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend James Britt officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary Methodist Church.
Visitation 3-8p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Joyce was born in Port Huron on November 1, 1931, daughter of Newell and Beulah Bankson. On December 30, 1950, she married Harold J. Thompson in Port Huron, Michigan.
Surviving are husband, Harold;
sons, Ronald, Robert and wife Nadine;
daughter, Linda and husband Richard Coen;
grandchildren, Michelle, Ashley, Kelsey and Brandon;
sister, Mary Ann and husband Harold Clinton of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles.
